Sara Khaki was born in the Middle East but grew up in Sweden. In 1996 she moved from Europe to Atlanta Georgia with her family. She received her undergraduate degree from Georgia State University, Summa Cum Laude, and went on to law school at University of Georgia School of Law. Since graduating from law school in 2008, Sara has devoted her legal practice to Social Security Disability. This is an area of law that is very close to her heart since she witnessed her mom suffer from cancer twice while she was a child and then as a young adult. This truly opened her eyes at a young age to the profound effect an individual’s health can have on the quality of life for an entire family. The experience also gave her a deeper understanding of the maze insurance companies put people through when they need medical coverage the most.
One of Sara’s favorite parts of her job of running a this business is de-mystifying the Social Security system through community education. Sara has presented continuing legal education courses for different legal bar sections; and she is often invited by health care organizations, and non-profit organizations that serve the disabled to give presentation on SSDI/SSI law.
Sara is admitted to the Georgia State Bar and the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of Georgia.
Sara is a Board Member of the Atlanta Bar Association’s Women in the Profession Section. She is also an active member of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives.
Sara has been named a 2016 Rising Star by Super Lawyers and she has been awarded Top 100 Lawyers by the National Advocates.
Sara lives in Alpharetta, GA with her husband, son, and daughter.
